Frequently Asked Questions about Divorce Mediation

  • Will other outside experts be needed?

It is very likely that you will need outside experts to assist in some analysis and advising.  Each party is strongly urged to have an attorney review the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and one of them will need to convert the MOU into a Property Settlement Agreement that is filed with the court and is the contract governing the elements of the divorce.  Other experts that may need to be consulted, depending on the complexity of the divorce, would include accountants, financial analysts, real estate agents and therapists.  I can recommend neutral experts to clients if needed.
